Die Panzerfaust 2 war von 1961 bis 2003 die Hauptpanzerabwehrwaffe der Infanterie. Sie wurde von einem Schützen bedient und war wirksam gegen haltende Panzer bis 200 Meter und gegen fahrende Panzer bis 150 Meter Entfernung. Die Durchschlagsleistung lag bei bis zu 375 mm gewalztem Panzerstahl.</div>
